Our History

Mediterranean Shipping Company (Chile) S.A., so called MSC Chile, was founded in Santiago in 1994, with a staff of 12 people, moving only 6,000 containers a year.

MSC Chile is a Branch/Subsidiary of the 2nd largest Shipping Company worldwide, whose headquarters is in Geneva, Switzerland.

During the last 8 years, MSC has been chosen "The Best Shipping Line of the Year", 5 times, award given by readers of the specialized magazine Lloyd's Loading List of London and, in year 2007, it was voted BEST OCEAN CARRIER OF THE YEAR, twice, by the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association.

MSC Chile, nowadays has 220 employees and moves over 210,000 containers a year. We move all kind of cargo, from the most fragile to the strongest goods, giving an integrated door-to door service.

In order to improve our service, during the last years, MSC Chile opened its own four Port Agencies which are located at Valparaíso, San Vicente, Arica and Iquique.

At MSC Chile, we keep a personal commitment of a customized service to our clients.
